The TRE Project is an exploration project currently underway on the concession area, comprising rare earth- tantalum-niobium-zirconium-hafnium enriched dykes, sills and argillaceous laterites. The exploration programme aims to define the primary (vein/skarn hosted) and secondary (argillaceous laterites) mineralisation present on the concession towards a National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate and support a detailed feasibility study towards mine development and production.
The concession itself covers an area of 300 km2 and is situated on the eastern half of the Ampasindava Peninsula in the Antsiranana Province of northern Madagascar, approximately 40km south-west of the regional administrative centre, Ambanja.
The closest international airport to the concession is located on the nearby island of Nosy Be, which is also the location of the nearest major operating port. The RN6 national highway intersects the south-east perimeter of the concession.
